Humus significantly improves effectiveness

Agronomic observations

Humus significantly improves the efficiency of mineral fertilization by protecting and releasing major nutrients N, P, K, Mg and trace elements
Water retention = Optimization of fertility

Selection of raw matters

Biochemical analyses Controlling bases CBM* and ISB*.

Humic potential

An organic amendment agronomic value is characterized by its potential of transformation into humus whose indicators are these: K1 = isohumic ratio (3 years experimental value over 3 years) IBS= *Index of Biological Stability (laboratory analytic value) CBM = *Characterization of Biological organic Matter (laboratory analytic value). They present a tight correlation confirmed by scientific experiments (SERAIL, CTIFL and INRA 1998). The constituents of an organic amendment and its elaboration process are the major conditions to improve the speed of its humic potential expression which is dependent on the soil pedoclimatic factors.

Types :

• Composted plant oilcakes, manures, pulps …-> transformation into humus < 3 years
• Dehydrated plant oilcakes, manures, pulps …-> transformation into humus > 3 years
• Composted sawdust, barks, grape marc, hemp …-> transformation into humus > 5 years
• Dehydrated sawdust, barks, grape marc, hemp …-> transformation into humus > 10 years

Implementation of the NFU 44051 standard. Organic amendments are mainly composed of fermented or fermentiscible plant carbonated matters, with the purpose of maintaining or restoring soil stable organic matter or soil humus. The N, P2O5, K2O nutrients are exclusively of organic origin with a content lower than 3% each. Labelling must read : specific list of raw matters, MO crude %, total N crude %.
